Willow is a beautiful, healthy, playful and loving cat who truly needs to be the only animal in the house. We have several other cats, and she cannot be around them without hissing and shaking with fear.
We brought her in to our home as a kitten, and she was OK for a while, till one of our older cats – who always kept order in the house – passed away. Since then, Willow has become shy and scared of other cats.
We tried everything from tranquilizers to dietary changes to pheromones. We’ve tried putting her in her own room then gradually re-introducing her to the other cats in limited doses. We’ve had her on a leash and in a cat crate to give her “safe spots”, but the only thing that works is keeping her apart from the other cats entirely.
She’s loved, petted, played with and brushed, but she doesn’t get the attention or freedom that she should by living in one room of the house. We love Willow and we wish that we could keep her, but she deserves better.
That’s why we’re looking for someone who wants ONE special cat to share their heart and home with. She’s playful and loves affection, so she’d be ideal for someone with a calm household and no other pets. Older, more responsible kids would probably be OK, but I don’t think that she’d be happy in a house with little kids, who can be rambunctious and noisy.
If you or someone you know would like a fantastic feline companion, please contact us to arrange a meeting.
