Tamu Chambers, a professor in the History, Philosophy and Social Sciences Department, will participate in the Business Division Department Chair/Associate Department Chair Retreat to be held Thursday and Friday, June 6 and 7, at Empire State College in Saratoga Springs. The adjunct panel is scheduled for June 6 at 4 p.m.
The purpose of the panel is to learn from the perspective of experienced and skilled adjuncts, and to identify strengths and address weaknesses, according to Julie Gedro, Ed.D., associate dean in the Undergraduate Studies Business Division of Empire State College.
Chambers, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business from the College of Saint Rose, has taught at Hudson Valley Community College for more than 20 years.
“I also have the pleasure of teaching online at Empire State College as a lecturer [and] contribute to the capstone course, ‘Diversity in the Workplace.’ The focus is on managing diversity, equity, and inclusive practices in the work setting,” Chambers said.
