Colleagues,
As we begin another season of gratitude and giving, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for another successful semester at Hudson Valley.
We have accomplished a great deal this semester, and have once again met and exceeded many of the goals we started out with in August. It’s because of each of your efforts and your continued commitment and hard work that we can mark this as another semester of achievement. I am grateful for all you have done and continue to do, and I want you to know just how big a difference your efforts make for our students and our college. Thank you!
I hope you will join us today (Nov. 21), in the Siek Campus Center from noon to 2 p.m., for our campus Thanksgiving luncheon. This is a chance to celebrate the season with our colleagues and students, and to share in our gratitude as a community, but also a time to help others in need. Please bring a non-perishable food item, so that we can continue to stock our student food pantry during a time that is joyful for many, but can be difficult for those who are struggling.
I’d also like to remind you that the college is closed Wednesday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 27 so that we all may enjoy a break and partake in our own celebrations with loved ones. I hope you enjoy this break and return refreshed and ready to wrap up the last few weeks of the semester on a positive note. In these final weeks, I ask that we all continue to keep up the good work in helping our students through final exams and projects, and giving them an extra push when needed to help them finish their studies strong.
As the semester winds to a close and the holiday season begins, I hope you will continue to keep others in mind, and help when you can; and that you take every opportunity to enjoy the spirit of the season with loved ones, family and friends.
Thank you, once again, and a very happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Roger Ramsammy
