The CET Congratulates its Certificate Recipients

 

Six people completed requirements for certificates so far this academic year, three in Teaching and Learning and three in Leadership Development.

The following six faculty and staff will be formally recognized for their achievement at this year’s Faculty & Staff Honors Convocation.

Tara Farley
Tara Farley is the Technical Assistant for the Center for Effective Teaching. Tara has been with the college for fifteen years. Tara has served many roles at the college and started here in Computer Services. In addition to her day-to-day duties Tara has served as the secretary for the Academic Senate, served on a Middle States working group, the Y2K preparedness committee and works each year on both the New Faculty Orientation and Faculty Workshop Day events. Tara has been committed to her professional development and is continually learning new skills to better serve the faculty and staff of HVCC.

Sheri Scavone

Kristina Lewis
Kristina Lewis is a Technical Assistant in the English, Modern Languages, and English as a Second Language department. Kris has been with the college for ten years. She has always been interested in her professional and personal development. In addition to her regularly assigned responsibilities, Kris has assisted the department chairperson with the coordination of their high school conferences in which area high school teachers attend for the purpose of sharing classroom instructional techniques.  In addition, she was involved in the planning and organization of both the Joyce Carol Oates and Amy Tan campus visits.
