The CET is proud to announce that Tammy Conway, instructor in the Dental Hygiene Program, and Elena Keese, instructor in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, have successfully completed the requirements for the certificate of completion in Teaching and Learning! They will be formally recognized for their achievement at this year’s Faculty & Staff Honors Convocation.
Tammy Conway is a full-time professor in the dental hygiene program. Since joining the faculty in 1996, she has taken on a leadership role in the clinical component of the program. Her academic responsibilities include freshman clinic coordinator, lecturer in preventive dentistry and freshman and senior clinical instructor.She has extensive clinical practice experience in periodontics and general dentistry. She is certified by New York State to monitor and administer nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia and to administer local infiltration anesthesia for dental hygiene treatment. Areas of special interest include non-surgical periodontal therapy and developing continuing education courses specialized in instrument design.
Mrs. Conway is a graduate of the dental hygiene program at Hudson Valley Community College. She earned her B.S. degree in community health at William Patterson College in New Jersey and her degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the University of New York at Albany.
