The CET is proud to announce that Polly Karis, senior clerk in the Marvin Library Learning Commons, has successfully completed the requirements for the certificate of completion in Leadership Development! She will be recognized formally for her achievement at this year’s Faculty & Staff Honors Convocation.
Polly has been with the college for six years. In her tenure at Hudson Valley Community College, Polly has always been keenly interested in her professional and personal development. She is active on campus with Middle States, Personnel Resources Committee, and Refugee College Day, as well as mentoring refugees who attend the college. She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Adult Education at Empire State College. Upon completion, she hopes to teach and/or advise at HVCC.
