The CET presents “Teach it Forward” award to Mary Beth Farr

In the spirit of sharing and collegiality, the Center for Effective Teaching sponsors an initiative called “Teach it Forward.”  This effort involves faculty members, who are willing to share their knowledge and skills with members of the campus community through workshops, mentoring and so on.

This year, in recognition of her many years of offering workshops, short classes, and serving as a faculty mentor, both formally and informally, the Teach it Forward award is awarded to Mary Beth Farr, part-time faculty member in the Computing and Information Services Department.

“We are very pleased to offer this expression of our gratitude to Mary Beth this year,” said Dr. Carolyn Curtis, Vice President of Academic Affairs. “Mary Beth absolutely exemplifies the spirit of the Teach it Forward program, and, in turn, the spirit of generous service to colleagues and the College, itself.”

Mary Beth will be formally recognized for this award at the Faculty & Staff Honors Convocation taking place this Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre.
