The College Success Referral System (CSRS) is open for the Spring 2021 semester!
If you are need of a refresher, the documentation with directions and explanation of when to use which referral type can be found on the Office of Student Outreach Services and Retention website. I am also available for one-on-one training via zoom. Feel free to email me (j.eaton@hvcc.edu) and we can set up a time to meet.
We had some wonderful feedback from those who used the new system during the Fall 2020 semester. One new feature has been added based on this feedback.
The Office of Student Outreach Services and Retention will be adding feedback once outreach has been made. You can find this feedback by going to your alert history and clicking the ‘i’ next to the date created for each individual student referral. The note will be added to the original note submitted by you, the instructor.
As you know, providing frequent and early feedback regarding performance is essential to student success. When you make use of the CSRS early during the semester, we as an institution have an excellent opportunity to get students connected in a timely manner with the academic and student support services needed to help them overcome barriers to success they may encounter.
Thank you to all who have used and continue to use the CSRS. We hope that many faculty will use this student success and retention tool alongside others this semester!
