Jan. 31 – Feb. 6

Men’s Basketball: The men’s basketball team finished the week with a 2-0 record for the second straight week and has now won five straight games, including a 74-72 home win over No. 2 Herkimer on Friday night. Trevor Green highlighted the upset win with 30 points.

Women’s Basketball: The women’s basketball team saw its four-game win streak snap last week as the women were defeated in a tough matchup with Herkimer on Friday night. Nya Ewans-Edmonds led all players with a game-high 24 points and 17 rebounds.

Men’s and Women’s Bowling: The bowling program began its spring 2022 season on Friday afternoon traveling to compete in the Mountain Valley Conference match hosted by Mohawk Valley in Utica. In the first match, Willis Bickford bowled a great set with a 762 triple (278, 195, 289). Bickford made solid shots and went 10 in a row (twice) to highlight the Vikings season opener. On Sunday, Bickford placed second in the all-events stages of the Westchester Invitational.

Men’s and Women’s Track and Field: The men’s and women’s track and field program jump-started its 2022 season, its first since the global COVID-19 pandemic shutdown the program in March 2020. Highlighting the Vikings early season success was Charles Benichoux (Marseilles France/Lycee Pateur), who competed in and won the men’s 60-meter dash with a time of 7.04 seconds. On the women’s side, Antonia Brancato (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) placed sixth overall in the 60-meter dash with an official time of 8.25 seconds.
