Men’s and Women’s Cross Country: The cross country programs did not compete last week and are set to compete in the 2023 NJCAA Region 3 Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Canandaigua, home of Finger Lakes Community College.

Football: The football team won, 7-6, with a tremendous defensive effort over Erie to win the NJCAA Region 3 Championship. Shamarr Joppy was the player of the game with three interceptions, including the game-winning 65-yard interception return touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Vikings travel to Nassau on Saturday, Oct. 28, for a 1 p.m. kickoff in Garden City, NY.

Men’s Soccer: The men’s soccer team saw its season end on Sunday as they were defeated, 6-1, by Cayuga in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 3 Championships.

Women’s Soccer: The women’s soccer team advanced to the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 3 Championships following their 1-0 win over North Country. Lauren Foglia converted on a penalty kick, which proved to be enough for the Vikings to win. They travel to No. 3 Onondaga on Tuesday, Oct. 24, for a match at 6 p.m. in Syracuse.

Women’s Volleyball: The women’s volleyball team placed third in the Mountain Valley Conference Championships over the weekend as they split their matches. They were defeated, 3-0, to Adirondack in the semifinal round and later defeated No. 4 Herkimer in the consolation match. The volleyball team will be the No. 7 seed in the 2023 NJCAA Region 3 Championships Saturday, Oct. 28, and will take on No. 2 Finger Lakes at Niagara CC in Sanborn. The volleyball team clinched a postseason berth for the first time since 2008.
