Men’s basketball (12-15) concluded its 2017-18 season with a two-game winning streak after defeating North Country on the road, 86-78, and then defeated Fulton-Montgomery at home on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 91-84.
Against Fulton-Montgomery, the Vikings honored their senior class prior to the game that consisted of the senior leaders taking over the game late to help the Vikings pull out the victory in the season finale. Dave Reo led five Vikings in double-figures with a game-high 20 points. Forward Raheem Duncan took over the game in the second half as he scored 17 of his 19 points in the final half. Duncan converted nine of 10 free throws in the second half and slammed home the dagger last in the final seconds of the game to help the Vikings secure their second straight win.
Against North Country, Dave Reo had the hot hand for the Vikings on Monday evening as he finished with a team-high 24 points and shot 8-for-17 from the floor. Reo is averaging 18.1 points per game in the month of February.
