This Week in Athletics

 

Men’s Basketball
Men’s basketball closed out the 2019-2020 regular season and clinched the No. 4 seed in the NJCAA Region 3 post season after defeating North Country and Fulton-Montgomery. They will host No. 5 Corning Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex.

Women’s Basketball
Women’s basketball also finished out the regular season and earned the No. 8 seed in the NJCAA Region 3 post season. In the first-round match, the Vikings defeated No. 9 Broome on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the McDonough Sports Complex. The win gives the Vikings a showdown with No. 1 North Country on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Saranac Lake at 6 p.m.

Men’s and Women’s Bowling
The men’s bowling team won the 2020 NJCAA Region 3 Championship after a lights-out performance on Saturday, Feb. 22. The championship comes a week after the men won the Mountain Valley Conference Championship. This is the first Region 3 title for the men’s program since 2012 and the eighth championship overall!
