Hudson Valley athletics is searching for student workers ($12.50/hr) to work our home games. Interested students please visit the athletics department in MCD 219 to sign up!
Cross Country: The Hudson Valley Community College men’s and women’s cross country programs did not compete and are preparing to compete in the NJCAA National Championships Saturday, Nov. 13 in Midgeville, GA.
Football: The Hudson Valley Community College football team utilized the advantages of home cooking as they Vikings defeated the previously undefeated East Coast Prep, 40-35, on Sunday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex.
The 2021 home finale was filled with excitement and thrilling plays from both programs. The Vikings standout of the game was freshman receiver Omari Hopkins, who posted three touchdowns, including an 85-yard kickoff return touchdown to put the Vikings up 21-14, an instant response to the Firebirds, who just tied the game at 14-14 in the second quarter.
The Vikings football team closes out the 2021 season Saturday, Nov. 13 when they travel to take on NJCAA Region 3 rivals, Erie Katz in Buffalo. The game is scheduled for noon.
Men’s Basketball: The men’s basketball program finished opening week with a 2-1 record with wins over Orange and Jefferson. Jourdan Belcher highlighted the Vikings 84-75 win at Jefferson with 30 points.
Women’s Basketball: The women’s basketball program finished opening week with a 1-2 record. They earned an opening night win over Orange last week, but fell on the road at Herkimer and Jefferson over the weekend.
Men’s and Women’s Bowling: Students interested in joining the bowling team for the spring 2022 semester should contact Coach Catie Bell (c.bell@hvcc.edu) to sign up today!
