Three Hudson Valley Community College faculty members will participate in the Albany Book Festival, hosted by the NYS Writers Institute, on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at SUNY Albany’s Uptown Campus at 1400 Washington Ave.
The event, which opens Friday, Sept. 24 with a kick-off event at 7:30 p.m., is open free to the public, and features numerous readings and interviews with noted authors. Visit https://www.albanybookfestival.com/ for details.
Participants from HVCC are Associate Professor Paul Calarco, Jr. from the Education and Social Sciences Department, Adjunct Lynda Hacker Araoz and Retiree Jim LaBate, both from the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department. Their respective genres are poetry, memoir and literary fiction.
Calarco shared links to information about his 2018 book, “Spirals of Love,” and a podcast interview.
