***TIMEKEEPING UPDATE***

 

There has been some confusion about Kronos timekeeping.

Here are details for recording time off and an update to the pay codes we should be using.

All employees need to be available to work at home when requested during their normal work hours. Therefore, any time away from this availability, employees should charge their Accrual time and use the appropriate corresponding pay code: Personal or Vacation.

If an employee is sick because of coronavirus-related symptoms, they are to use the Administrative Leave pay code. For illness not related to coronavirus (stomach bug, for example), employees should use their accrued sick time.

Non-Teaching Professionals (NTP’s) performing any work at any location for HVCC may continue to use the  Hours Worked pay code. Kronos will automatically convert to the appropriate CV19 Pay Codes (Reg1, Spec Assign, OT).

NTPs who are home and not working as directed by the college, should use the CV19 Admin Leave pay code.

Non-Instructional Employee Union (NIEU) staff performing any work at any location for HVCC should use the CV19-Reg1 and CV19-OT1 pay codes.

NIEU staff who are home and not working as directed by the college, should use CV19 Admin Leave pay code.

Faculty members who are providing Distance Learning mentoring should use Pay Code CV19-Faculty Mentor DL for all hours performing these duties. There were specific faculty members selected for mentoring. Nothing has changed for all other faculty members.

Video Services employees should use pay code CV19-VVT for those hours assisting with Distance Learning.
