Tips for a successful interview process

 

Please be sure you have the proper information to provide applicants when they arrive for an interview.

First, let the applicant know the salary range when you contact them for an interview. You will eliminate applicants who won’t accept the salary we can offer and save yourself a lot time.

Second, applicants want to know what benefits we offer. This information can be printed from the Human Resources Web page under employee resources “Employee Handbook.” You can refer applicants to the Web page, but it’s best to have a hard copy when you do the face-to-face interview. Civil Service position applicants are required to fill out the Civil Service application. (Please send the application to the interviewee ahead of time or schedule time in the interview to accommodate filling out the application.)
