Together we can touch a child’s heart this Christmas

As the angel proclaimed to the shepherds of Bethlehem, “Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:10b-11, NIV).”

Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love to impoverished children in a tangible way by partnering with churches worldwide to deliver gift-filled shoe boxes and the good news of Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child has brought hope to boys and girls in over 140 countries around the world.

National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is November 12-19.  Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to pack a shoe box for a child. I can provide you with a shoebox and the instructions for how to pack one. If you prefer to buy an item or two for a shoebox, please bring the items to me and I will combine items donated to fill shoeboxes.

My home church, Trinity Worship Christian Fellowship (http://trinityworship.org/), is a relay center for Operation Christmas Child. Just pack a shoebox and deliver it to me on or before Nov. 16 and I will bring it to Trinity to be forwarded on to a distribution center.

Please visit Operation Christmas Child’s website (http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/occ) for gift ideas and details on how to pack and track the shoeboxes. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham, President.

Thank you for your ministry and may God Bless you this Thanksgiving and Christmas.
