Toy drive for refugee families is ongoing- update!

HVCC’s Every Campus A Refuge® program is hosting a drive for new or gently-used toys!

So many toys have already been dropped off.

This is a picture of two students holding stuffed animals and standing in front of a pile of toys in boxes and bags.
Students, J’Adari and Maura, who contributed to the drive, are standing beside some of the donated toys.

In conjunction with the Albany USCRI (U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants), our local refugee resettlement agency, the donated toys will be included when houses are set up for newly-arriving families and distributed on World Refugee Day (June 20).

Below is a photo of toys that have been set-up in a house for a newly arriving family. Your donations make this possible! Thank-you!

This is a photo of toys on a shelf in a corner cupboard.
USCRI will use the toys in their housing set-ups for refugees.

Toys may be dropped off in Marvin 107 anytime before the end of the semester.
