Andy Novak, the college’s director of Planning, Design, and Construction, announces two construction projects that begin Wednesday, Oct. 18:
Clock Tower
A contractor will be removing broken pieces of sidewalk from around the clock tower and pouring new concrete. This work is expected to last about two weeks. The area will be roped off, but foot traffic should still be able to move through the area.
Parking Garage
The 4th and 5th levels of the parking garage are closed for some repair work. The work is expected to begin Oct. 18 and be completed on Saturday, Oct. 21.
Also, access to parking will be blocked the morning of Friday, Oct. 20: first row along FTZ alley (north), and the first floor, second floor and third floor will need to be clear. Grounds crews will be pressure washing the railings and concrete areas in another attempt to remove the pigeon droppings. This will affect just the first row along the wall on Friday morning only. The rest of the parking areas on those levels will be available.
