Two faculty adjuncts chosen for inaugural Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching

SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher on Wednesday announced 43 recipients of the system’s inaugural Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching, which recognizes consistently superior teaching at the graduate, undergraduate, or professional level. Two of those recipients are adjunct faculty members at Hudson Valley.

They are: Instructor Mathew L. Cantore of the Computing and Information Sciences Department and Instructor Jeffrey V. McMinn of the Dental Hygiene Department.

“Adjunct teachers are a key component of the SUNY faculty, providing top-quality instruction and making an important contribution to academic success and degree completion among students,” said Chancellor Zimpher. “Those honored with our inaugural awards today are truly the best of the best, having demonstrated extraordinary dedication to their students and an exceptional commitment to teaching excellence. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees.”

The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are System-level honors conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.
