UAA Seeking Participants for Summer Manufacturing Bootcamp

The Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) is seeking participants for this summer’s Manufacturing Bootcamp.

What: The Uniquely Abled Academy at HVCC will host its second Manufacturing Bootcamp in summer of 2025, sponsored by SparkForce. This inclusion camp is specific to those ages 16-25, who are on the autism spectrum and looking at a career in CNC Manufacturing and/or to join the UAA program at HVCC. Applicants must have reading and writing skills and be able to operate machinery safely.

Participants receive basic instruction in CAD/CAM, CNC machining, cutting, drilling, machining, programming, shearing, stamping, and welding.  Participants will create projects using these methods.

The bootcamp will be held in the the Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills at the Hudson Valley campus Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m,  June 9 – 25, 2025.
