On behalf of the Center for Academic Engagement (CAE), I wanted to send out an update to the campus regarding important information for students, faculty, and staff.
First, the CAE will be open for the duration of the extended Spring Break during our normal operating hours of Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This includes 1-on-1 academic coaching meetings, as well as use of the student computer stations. As a reminder, We are located in Campus Center, Suite 230.
For students who may be away from campus: if you would like to schedule a remote meeting with an Academic Coach, please contact your Academic Coach directly. If you do not have an Academic Coach, please email our clerk, Amanda, at a.farinacci@hvcc.edu or call (518) 629-7550. We will work to quickly set up a meeting to assist you via email, phone, etc.
The CAE staff is working with the learning centers, retention office, and many other campus partners to support students as some classes transition to online work, the work flow of courses change, and we approach the second half of the semester. As the college continues to monitor and update policies, the CAE will keep students apprised of any changes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our office with any questions at all.
