Using technology in education

Have you heard of Ted Talks? If not they are very worth examining. Find them at ted.com.

TED – Ed, an extension of TED.com, is a free website for education that allows faculty the world over to share and customize lessons. Go to http://ed.ted.com to find videos and lessons worth sharing. TED-Ed allows you to customize any lesson for your own class changing the assessment and supporting materials that accompany the original video. You may share these with just your own students or allow them to be public. It allows you to begin a dialogue/discussion with anyone out there interested in your topic. You can also submit ideas for lessons and if accepted, TED-Ed will help out by finding an animator to animate the lesson for you.

Here is a lesson worth sharing, http://ed.ted.com/lessons/fresh-water-scarcity-an-introduction-to-the-problem-christiana-z-peppard.
