The Veterans Resource and Outreach Center recognizes Veterans Day and invites you to join us at three events on Nov. 10 and 11 to honor those who have served.
Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m., VETROC will host its Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Veterans Resource and Outreach Center, home of the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer Support Program of Rensselaer County. Ribbon cutting will commence at 10:30 a.m. in the Siek Campus Center, with refreshments to be served.
From noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, VETROC will host the HicksStrong Foundation for a “Hug Mug Party” on the first floor of the Campus Center. Everyone is invited to come paint a coffee mug with an inspiring message that will be sent to a service member across the world! All supplies are provided and space is limited, so please email d.wargo@hvcc.edu to reserve your mug today!
Finally, VETROC will host the college’s annual Flag Raising ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:45 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial Flag Pole next to the Campus Center. Refreshments will be served beginning at 7:30, with the ceremony to follow.
Please email d.wargo@hvcc.edu with any questions, or stop by VETROC in the Campus Center, room 164.
