Join the annual competition among Academic Departments, Student Services Departments, the Student Senate and Student Organizations to collect donations and raise awareness of the Viking Cupboard, the college’s food pantry.
Here are the details:
- Start a team within your department or group, and collect non-perishable food items.
- Keep track of the number of items collected and bring them to the HVCC Cupboard weekly (or as often as possible).
- Student Activities will also keep track of the total number of items collected, and the team that collects and donates the most items will be crowned the winner.
- The winning team will be awarded the Giving Cup Trophy to proudly display in its office until next year’s challenge.

Donations should be dropped off at the Student Activities Office (CTR 210) Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The following items are needed:
Ramen
Cereal
Peanut butter/jelly
Canned vegetables/soups/beans/fruits
Easy mac n’ cheese
Granola bars
Snacks
Canned tuna or chicken
Juice
Pasta/pizza sauce
Shelf stable non-dairy alternatives
Personal hygiene products
