The football team (0-8) lost to Alfred State (5-4), 48-26, on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings fell behind early and trailed by two at halftime. Alfred State outscored Hudson Valley 27-0 in the third quarter leading to the 48-26 victory.
C.J. Jones (Woodbridge/Baltimore, MD) led the Vikings with 128 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and 37 through the air for 165 total yards. Josh Gross (Old Mill/Glen Burnie, MD) had a big day with 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns and Dexter Greene (N. Myrtle Beach (SC)/Syracuse) had 96 receiving yards.
Leading the Viking defense was Matt Fallico (Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse) with six and a half tackles and one sack. Nick Gilbo (Moriah Central/Port Henry) had six tackles and Brandon Young (FDR/Brooklyn) recorded a sack.
