Virtual Anxiety Support Group
Do you feel anxious?  Do you often worry?  Are these things impacting your life and keeping you from doing what you want to do?

Join us and your peers for a Virtual Anxiety Support Group every Tuesday at 11 a.m., beginning Sept. 29.

Counseling and Wellness Services is offering a Virtual Anxiety Support Group. The Virtual Anxiety Support group will be a combination of psychoeducation on topics related to anxiety and worry, and facilitator and peer support. The group will continue for eight weeks. Interested students can view the topics being discussed below along with the expectations of the group. For more information or to register for the group, please contact Counseling and Wellness Services at counseling@hvcc.edu. Seats are limited!

The Virtual Anxiety Support Group sessions will be every Tuesday from 11  a.m. to noon.

Week 1/Sept. 29: Introduction to Anxiety and Worry
Week 2/Oct. 6: Challenging Uncontrollable Beliefs
Week 3/Oct. 13 : Attention Training
Week 4/Oct. 20: Challenging Positive Beliefs about Worrying
Week 5/Oct. 27: Worrying vs. Problem
Week 6/Nov. 3: Helpful Thinking
Week 7/Nov. 10: Accepting Uncertainty
Week 8/Nov. 17: Self- Management Plan
