The Voices: A Library Lecture Series Committee is pleased to present “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: The Stymied Dream” by Mr. Corey Ellis on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 1:50 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
Corey Ellis, co-founder and vice-president of the Capital District Black Chamber of Commerce, discusses the message and oratory skills in Dr. King’s immortal “I Have a Dream” speech in relation to today’s struggles of poverty, injustice, equal access and voting rights. Ellis is also an Albany ward leader and community organizer, as well as a former Albany mayoral candidate and common council member.
