Hunting as a Conservation Tool
Hunting is not only a recreational activity, but also an important wildlife management tool, conservation funding source, organic food supply, and driver for sustainability. Join Katrina Talbot, wildlife biologist at the Department of Environmental Conservation, for a discussion on the North American Wildlife Conservation Model, along with society’s conflicting views about hunting.
The lecture will take place virtually from 1 to 1:50 p.m. and can be viewed live on the library’s Facebook page and at https://livestream.com/hvccstreaming/events/9235046.
Voices: A Library Lecture Series is offered each semester to broaden and enrich the scope of studies at the college by presenting speakers on timely and enduring issues.
