Volunteers needed for health department exercise

On Tuesday, April 3, the Rensselaer County Department of Health will conduct a drill to practice the County Medical Countermeasures Response Plan. Rensselaer County will activate and operate its Point of Dispensing (POD) at the Averill Park High School from 10 a.m. to noon. This drill will provide health officials and volunteers with an opportunity to rehearse the actions that they would take should a significant public health event occur.

The campus community is invited to participate.

If you are willing and able to take part in the drill as a county resident/patient, please respond by registering at the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018podregistry.

If you have interest, but have additional questions please visit the Rensselaer County webpage at: http://www.rensco.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/PublicHealth_Pod-Flyer.pdf or contact Leonard Claus, Rensselaer County Public Health Emergency Preparedness coordinator, at (518) 270-2720 or by email at lclaus@rensco.com.
