Volunteers still needed: Mission of Mercy 2014

In addition to dental and other medical professionals, community volunteers are still needed to assist with registration, clinic setup, data entry, escorting patients, translating and much more at the Mission of Mercy event on June 13 and 14, 2014, at the McDonough Sports Complex.

To find out more or to volunteer, go to: www.nysmom.org/volunteer. It’s expected that approximately 600 to 800 volunteers will be needed.

Mission of Mercy events have helped over 135,000 patients and provided nearly $26 million in free services since 2003. Patients will receive cleanings, fillings, extractions, oral health education and assistance in finding a dentist for follow-up care. This is the first Mission of Mercy ever to be held in New York.

The event is sponsored by the New York State Dental Foundation and the New York State Dental Association.

PLEASE NOTE: The Alumni Association is staffing a special hospitality area for all alumni volunteers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days of the Mission of Mercy. This will be an opportunity for our graduates to reconnect, pick up some college “goodies” and update their information with the Alumni Assocation. Please help us spread the word to any alumni who you know will be volunteering.
