SolidWorks® — Introduction
June 4 — July 2, 2018
Introduction to SolidWorks® offers students training in Windows-based 3D mechanical computer-aided drafting (CAD), using parametric modeling.
Course content includes:
- Background basics: Parametric modeling basics, files and file management
- Software Interface: Toolbars and workspaces, file type support, modeling navigation and information, saving and filing
- Drawing: Sketches, features, model dimensioning, Boolean commands
- Display Controls: Zoom, pan, orientation, display style
- Editing: Trim, sketch access, feature access
- Drawing Aids: Patterns, relations, reference geometry
- Assemblies: Mating components, inserting parts, exploded assemblies
WDI offers convenient classes in SolidWorks® that take only a few weeks time to complete!

Monday, June 4, 11, 18 & 25 from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
Monday, July 2 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Prerequisites: Minimum 10th-grade reading and math skills; computer skills, including familiarity with navigating the Windows operating system.
