Every Wednesday the Wellness Center at Hudson Valley Community College will be posting Words of Wellness. Words of Wellness are resources for students to access and utilize to improve and maintain their overall wellness.
In the past few weeks, the coronavirus outbreak has brought about many changes to our lives. This is a stressful, uncertain, and challenging time for all of us. It is important that we look for ways to manage both our physical and mental health as we work together to stop the spread of coronavirus.
While the Wellness Center’s Counseling Services are available Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for counseling, consultation, and referral needs, we wanted to share additional resources that may be beneficial during this time.
The following resources focus on ways to cope with the coronavirus pandemic:
- Coronavirus Anxiety: How to Cope Instagram Video. A three-minute video brought to you by the Guardian featuring Dr. Luana Marques, health anxiety expert and associate professor at Harvard Medical College.
- A Virtual Care Package, brought to you by NVision You. Scroll through the article to learn about coping skills and helpful tips to build up your Wellness Toolbox.
- How to Protect Your Mental Health During the Coronavirus Outbreak, brought to you by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Lynn S. Gots, Ph.D.
Wishing good health and safety to you and your families,
