Well At Least Math is Accessible!

Do you find it annoying when text and images don’t align properly in Microsoft Word?

Well, did you know that the built-in accessibility features in Word help with alignment while making the document accessible? Instead of trying to find that button in Word, there are easy shortcuts.

For example, to start numbering in a document, begin by typing the number 1 followed by a period (.). Once you press the space key, Word will automatically create the numbering system. Pressing “enter’ will create the next number in the sequence.

Let’s say you need some bullet points. Begin with an asterisk (*) then press the Space key. Ta-da! You have created an accessible bullet point. Then press “enter” to create additional bullet points.

Numbering and bullet points are the two most common inaccessibility mistakes made in Word. To find other tips and tricks to making accessible content, sign up for a free account with Deque using the link: https://sunycpd.eventsair.com/deque-university-registration.
