What is the process for getting the weekly, pooled surveillance test?
The test is quick and easy — you simply swab the inside of your mouth and provide the saliva sample to staff to be sent to Upstate Medical Center for testing. The whole process should take fewer than five minutes.
- Register at www.suny-covid-test.com prior to coming to the testing location.
NOTE: You may not have access to answers for all of the questions asked. Please provide as much of the requested information as possible prior to your scheduled test. If needed, a college representative at the testing site will help you fill out the remainder questions. - You will be provided with a date, time frame and location for your pooled surveillance test.
- You will go through the health screening process and then proceed to the testing registration table.
- Once registered, you will proceed to a testing station staffed by a nurse or nurse practitioner, who will guide you through the self-administration of a saliva test, swabbing your mouth for 10 to 15 seconds.
