The campus has learned of the Oct. 7 passing of James J. Tortorici of Clifton Park. He was the husband of Vivian Tortorici, who served as chairman of the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department and dean of the School of Liberal Arts during a long career at Hudson Valley Community College.
