The women’s basketball team (6-9) lost to North Country County Community College (6-11), 65-56, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Vikings led by one at the half, but fell behind in the second and couldn’t complete the comeback. Angelica Smith (Shaker/Latham) led the Vikings scoring 14 of her 16 points in the second half. Raeshelle Frasier (Schenectady/Schenectady) recorded a double-double with 15 points and 19 rebounds, and Ashley Creighton (Catholic Central/Niskayuna) also chipped in a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The women host Herkimer on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
