The women’s basketball team (2-1) defeated North Country Community College (0-2), 60-41, on Thursday evening.
The Vikings defense came up big allowing the Saint Bernard’s to only 11 points at halftime. Rashelle Fraiser (Schenectady/Schenectady) led the Vikings with a big double-double, recording 23 points and 26 rebounds. Ashley Creighton (Catholic Central/Niskayuna) added 11 points, while Angelica Smith (Shaker/Latham) and Samantha Tomeck (Duanesburg/Duanesburg) each chipped in 10 points in the 21-point victory.
The women travel to Finger Lakes on Sunday for a game beginning at 1 p.m.
