The women’s basketball team (11-5) defeated Herkimer County Community College (4-13) 64-50, at Herkimer on Saturday.
The Vikings have extended their winning streak to eight games. HVCC only led by three points at the break, but opened up the second half with a 15-3 run. Erica Houle (Shaker, Latham) had a game high 20 points. Arianna Youngs (Lansingburgh, Lansingburgh) used her quickness to record seven steals while also adding 13 points.
The women’s next game is at home against Adirondack Community College on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
