The women’s basketball team (1-1) defeated Corning Community College (0-2), 70-50, on Sunday afternoon. This marks first-year head coach Kathleen Smith’s first victory for the Vikings.
Erica Houle (Shaker/Latham) led the team with 20 points, including five three-pointers and Arianna Youngs (Lansingburgh/Troy) had 19 points, ten rebounds, and five steals. Kelly Kell (Kingston/Kingston) finished the game with 15 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds, while Gabriella Badalucco (Schalmont/Rotterdam) added six points and 12 rebounds.
The Vikings travel to North Country Community College on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
