The women’s tennis team (7-0) defeated Adirondack Community College (2-3), 8-1, on Friday afternoon.
The Vikings took five singles matches and all three doubles matches. Below are the results:

With the win, the Vikings won the Mountain Valley Conference Championship, the first since 1998, and finished a perfect 7-0 on the season.
In just her second year as head coach, Denise Potenza turned the program around and heads into Regionals with a full head of steam. This past Saturday, Potenza was inducted into the Watervliet High School Hall of Fame for her contributions as a stand out tennis star.
The women head to Regionals on Friday, Oct. 12 at SUNY-Delhi to compete for a regional title with the top three teams qualifying for the National Tournament in Flushing, NY, beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
