The women’s tennis team (5-0) defeated SUNY-Delhi (2-1), 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings took all six singles matches and all three doubles matches. Below are the results of each flight.
Singles
Flight 1: Emily Qua (Ichabod Crane/Stuyvesant)- 6-1, 0-6, 6-2
Flight 2: Jenna Brophy (Greenwich/Greenwich)- 6-3, 6-0
Flight 3: Haley Knight (Chatham/Canaan)- 6-1, 6-1
Flight 4: Katie Vogel (Averill Park/Averill Park)- 6-1, 7-5
Flight 5: Sarah Nuss (Averill Park/Wynantskill)- 6-3, 6-1
Flight 6: Nicole Cassidy (Maple Hill/Castleton)- 7-5, 6-3
Doubles
Flight 1: Emily Qua (Ichabod Crane/Stuyvesant) & Haley Knight (Chatham/Canaan)- 8-4
Flight 2: Katie Vogel (Averill Park/Averill Park) & Nicole Cassidy (Maple Hill/Castleton)- 8-6
Flight 3: Janel Weaver (Schenectady/Bellevue) & Elizabeth Batchelder (Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake/Burnt Hills)- 8-3
The women are off to their best start winning their first five matches. They look to continue their streak as they travel to Adirondack on Friday, Sept. 28 for a match at 4 p.m.
