The women’s tennis team sent Emily Qua (Ichabod Crane/Stuyvesant) and Holly Fletcher (Catholic Central/Waterford) to the regional tournament held at SUNY Delhi on Friday.
Qua won her first singles match against Adirondack in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 7-5), but lost in the semi-finals to Onondaga (0-6, 4-6). Fletcher lost her opening match to Adirondack (4-6, 6-7 [4-7]) in a very competitive match.
In doubles action, Qua and Fletcher won the first set, but dropped the next two (6-1, 4-6, 5-7) to Adirondack.
Qua finishes the season with a 4-3 record while Fletcher finished 3-5.
