The Office of Workforce Development, in cooperation with the New York State Historic Preservation Office and the Historic Albany Foundation, is pleased to once again offer the Historic Masonry – Treatments & Repair course.
This course will provide participants with hands-on training in the traditional trade of masonry restoration, including documentation, cleaning, pointing, repairing and coatings.
Students will:
- Plan and execute a masonry rehabilitation project with other members of the class.
- Understand the treatment and repair process through lectures, observation and hands-on repair at historic sites located in the Capital Region.
- Gain an understanding of masonry materials and their construction systems used in 19th and 20th century buildings and learn hands-on techniques for treatment and repair.

Classroom: Tuesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Saturday Workshops (Jan. 25, Feb. 8, Feb. 29, March 7), 9 a.m. – 2 p.m
