Workforce Development offers Historic Wood Window Rehabilitation beginning Oct. 8

 

The Office of Workforce Development, in cooperation with the New York State Historic Preservation Office and the Historic Albany Foundation, is pleased to once again offer the Historic Wood Window Rehabilitation course.

Get hands-on training in the traditional trade of historic window rehabilitation, including the repair of historic sashes, glazing, frames and weights. Learn about 19th and 20th century building window design, as well as the basics of the field of historic preservation, weatherization techniques, and where to market your skills!

Oct. 8 – Dec. 7, 2019
Tuesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Saturdays (10/12, 10/26, 11/9, 12/7), 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
40 hours, 4 CEUs, Non-Credit

Please Note: Students must complete an eight-hour Environmental Protection Agency Lead Safe class before the final class meeting of this course, or submit proof of completion of the eight-hour EPA Lead Safe class within the last five years. Cornell Cooperative Extension offers free EPA Lead Safe classes twice a month.
