The third meeting of the Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) Committee was held on Oct. 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:<\/p>\n

Advisement Assessment A light snack of Freihofer\u2019s Chocolate Chip Cookies was served in the original cardboard carton, adding an element of “unbuttoned chic” to the meeting. \n<\/strong>Dr. Geehan announced the upcoming SCoA session on Curriculum Mapping taking place at MVCC on Oct. 24, 2017, if anyone is interested in attending, as we will begin curriculum mapping of the ISLOs in every degree program this fall.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The committee charge was distributed to attendees for their review and input at a later meeting. Due to the absence of several committee members, it was agreed to hold this item over for full joint discussion.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Dr. Geehan presented attendees with copies of a draft survey intended to be part of the Advisement assessment process. A working discussion ensued in which recommendations were made, considered and accepted which focused the survey instrument on desired outcome measures. Some \u201cnon-advisement\u201d survey items, mainly items pertaining to New Student Orientation, were agreed to be better suited for the spring Student Satisfaction Survey. Survey response choices were considered and input was received from the committee members. An updated survey will be developed and presented at a future meeting, and input from advisors, DCs, deans, etc. will be sought before finalizing survey.<\/p>\n
