Cross Country The men’s program finished 24th\u00a0out of the 29th\u00a0participating teams as\u00a0Holden Maynard\u00a0placed 64th\u00a0overall with an official time of 29:14.<\/p>\n The women’s program had two individuals compete in Saturday’s championship meet as\u00a0Sarah Rosenberger placed 38th\u00a0overall with a final time of 21:44 with an average 1K time of 4:21.3.\u00a0Mercedes Planavsky also competed and finished 54th\u00a0overall with a final time of 22:30.0 for an average 1K time of 4:30.<\/p>\n Football (1-8)<\/strong> dropped a hard fought match-up, 18-7, to Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) at home on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n Taj Beckett finished the game with 13 completions for 253 passing yards and\u00a0Andres Blanco\u00a0carried the ball 15 times for 54 yards to lead the Vikings offensively. Shaquille Edmond quickly became Beckett’s top target as he hauled in five catches for 148-yards and a score.<\/p>\n Defensively,\u00a0Kapone Brown\u00a0and\u00a0Isaiah Moak\u00a0each recorded a sack and combined for 22 total tackles.\u00a0Richard Eversleigh\u00a0added eight tackles while\u00a0Jaleel Kyles\u00a0and\u00a0John (Jack) Fitzgerald\u00a0each had seven total tackles on the afternoon.<\/p>\n Men\u2019s Basketball (1-1)<\/strong> dropped Saturday”s away game against Cayuga, 88-78. The Vikings were led offensively by\u00a0Mitchell Dame\u00a0as he scored a team-high 17-points with sophomore guard\u00a0David Reo adding 16 points as the Vikings couldn’t overcome the late game deficit to Cayuga.<\/p>\n Basketball tipped-off the 2017 season with an 88-83 win over Rockland on Nov. 1. The Vikings had five student-athletes surpass double-digit scoring as\u00a0Taylor Slattery\u00a0led all scorers with a game-high 23 points, including 19 points in the second half.
