WELCOME\u00a0 WEEK FOOD PANTRY & SOCK DRAWER Please encourage those who are in need, to visit the pantry located in the Student Activities Office on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n Some of the “sock-drawer” items\u00a0are delivered\u00a0to the Capital City Rescue Mission in Albany and Joseph’s House in Troy, as part of the Student Senate’s Community Service Project.<\/p>\n COMMUNITY SPORTS & SPIRITS DAY! The festivities begin at 11:30 am\u00a0with refreshments in the McDonough Lobby, followed\u00a0by the\u00a0women’s tip-off at noon. The men’s game will follow at 2 pm. Cross region rival Schenectady County Community College is the opponent.\u00a0HVCC spirit items will be distributed at the door and opportunities\u00a0to win prizes during a half-time, half-court shot competition will be offered during each game.<\/p>\n LEAD. \n<\/strong>The campus community is encouraged to enjoy Welcome Week activities, Tuesday through Thursday (Jan. 16-18) in the Campus Center, Science Building and Williams Hall.\u00a0Free breakfast will be\u00a0offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, along with\u00a0music, karaoke, hot chocolate and cookies, pizza, games, and caricatures, etc. The fun begins each day at 8:30 am.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>On behalf of the Student Senate and Student Activities Office, much gratitude is extended to all who made donations to the Student Food Pantry! We will continue to collect donations for the pantry and “sock drawer”\u00a0(newly-purchased socks, gloves, hats, under garments for men, women and children) throughout the year.<\/p>\n
