{"id":1045,"date":"2013-01-15T12:49:36","date_gmt":"2013-01-15T17:49:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/2nd-annual-neatec-conference-continues-today\/"},"modified":"2013-01-15T12:49:36","modified_gmt":"2013-01-15T17:49:36","slug":"2nd-annual-neatec-conference-continues-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/2nd-annual-neatec-conference-continues-today\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd annual NEATEC Conference continues today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Northeast Advanced Technological Education Center (NEATEC), based at Hudson Valley Community College, hosts a two-day conference today and Wednesday for educators who are bringing nanotechnology, semiconductor manufacturing and other STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) topics into their curricula.<\/p>\n<p>The conference takes place from 7:30<strong> <\/strong>a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 15 and 16 in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center on the Hudson Valley campus.<\/p>\n<p>Keynote speakers\u00a0are Dr. John B. King Jr., commissioner of education and president of the University of the State of New York, and Dr. Joseph H. Adair, professor of material science and engineering and bioengineering at Pennsylvania State University.
