The results were not received at the time of this post. Please follow up by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.athletics.hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.athletics.hvcc.edu<\/a> for the latest bowling updates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s basketball (18-10)<\/strong> concluded its 2017-18 season after falling in the NJCAA Region 3 Quarterfinals 65-60 to North Country on Tuesday, Feb. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings entered the final quarter trailing by two points, 44-42, and\u00a0Taylor Engster\u00a0(Troy\/Catholic Central) took over for Hudson Valley, scoring 12 points in the final quarter and helped the Vikings grab a late game lead. With three minutes remaining, the Vikings had a nine-point advantage but were unable to hold on to the lead as North Country fought back and secured the 65-60 win.\u00a0Engster finished the game with a game-high 21 points.<\/p>\n<p>Hannah Kreiger\u00a0(Brunswick\/Tamarac) also finished with a game-high 21 points, including four three-point baskets made.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Congratulations to the following student-athletes!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Women\u2019s Basketball NJCAA Region 3 All-Region Awards<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Hannah Kreiger (Second Team)<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Taylor Engster (Third Team)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s Lacrosse (2-0)<\/strong> continued its strong start to the 2018 season as they defeated Potomac State, 10-5, on Monday, Feb. 26.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore\u00a0Aaron Thorpe\u00a0(Malta\/Ballston Spa) continued his dominating play for the Vikings as he finished with four goals and two assists for a game-high six points.\u00a0Lateke Murray\u00a0(Albany\/Albany) also finished with a game-high six points as he scored three goals and added three assists.<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Games: Wednesday, Mar. 14 vs. Brookdale (4 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Mon, 05 Mar 2018 13:29:16 +0000 by\u00a0a.sopris<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Men\u2019s and women\u2019s bowling participated in the NJCAA National Tournament over the weekend in Cheektowaga, NY.
